Prepare your groans: Theos, a Christian think-tank, recently took an opinion poll (titled "The Spirit of Things Unseen" in a melodramatic twist) of British citizens and found that while the percentage of people that call themselves "religious" is steadily declining, those that believe that "there are things in life that we simply cannot explain through science or any other means" is at an all time high among both religious and nonreligious people. There are a lot of issues with this poll; here are the links to the survey itself and to a good article in the New Statesmen for your reviewing pleasure.
