Secular Humanist Viewpoints
Pamphlet Series

Secular Humanist Viewpoints is a series of informative and thought-provoking pamphlets on topics of public interest. Secular Humanist Viewpoints are not authoritative secular humanist doctrines or policy statements; instead they exemplify how the rational and compassionate philosophy of humanism can be applied to moral, social and philosophical issues.

Secular Humanist Viewpoints currently available are:

  • "Affirmations of Humanism: A Statement of Principles"

  • "Are the Ten Commandments Relevant Today?"
    by Gerald A. Larue

  • "The Case Against Prayer in Public Schools: An Open Letter to Christians at Graduation Time"
    by Victor Bernard

  • "A Declaration of Interdependence: A New Global Ethics"
by the International Academy of Humanism

  • "A Humanist Guide for Divorce Ceremonies"
by Vern Bullough and Bonnie Bullough

  • "Is there Life After Death?"
    by Thomas Flynn

Secular Humanist Viewpoints are available singly for $1.00 each, postage included. Prices fall rapidly with increasing quantity. Six pamphlets (like title) cost $2.50; ten pamphlets (like title) cost $4.00, and 100 pamphlets cost $12.00, including postage if ordered from USA or Canada.

Suggestions and proposals for possible future pamphlets may be sent to Tom Flynn, Viewpoints Editor, at:
